Dr. Richard Riehm, DDS
Dr. Riehm started his dental career as a dental technician in the
Navy during the Vietnam War. After a degree in Biology in North Dakota, he
earned his Dental Degree from the University Of Nebraska Medical
Center-College Of Dentistry. Dr. Riehm practiced in North Dakota as a
General Dentist in his own private practice. In 1990, he went back into the
military during the Gulf War as a Dentist in the U.S. Army stationed at
Fort Huachuca, Arizona. While in the U.S. Army, he met his wife, Karen. In
1993 he and his new family transferred to Indian Health Services where he
was the Dental Chief at Tohatchi, New Mexico. In 1997, he returned to UNMC
for a two year residency in Endodontics receiving his certificate in 1999.
The family then moved to Phoenix to open his Ahwatukee Endodontic practice
where he has been providing endodontic services for the last 18 years.
Beginning in November 2017, Dr. Riehm has been traveling to our office in
Safford once a month to provide specialized endodontic services (ie.
complex root canals, retreatments, etc...) and we are very thrilled to have
him as part of the team!
Dr. Riehm and his wife, Karen, have 3 grown kids with 3 grandchildren and
enjoy grand-parenting! Dr. Riehm, also, enjoys golf, boating, sailing, and
